Espistemological Scepticism: The Engine of Living Knowledge

Epistemological Scepticism (ES) is the living core of the SE Initiative—transforming doubt from a passive stance into an active protocol for all knowing, discovering, and building. Instead of presuming any truth as sacred, ES mandates that every assertion, theory, and framework must remain provisionally open to challenge, revision, and audit by both BI (Biological Intelligence) and SI (Synthesis Intelligence).

The Three Operational Maxims

• Provisional Truth, Not Dogma:
  ES rejects final answers. All claims, models, and even protocols themselves are held as tentative—their standing determined by the quality, depth, and diversity of continuous challenge and adversarial review.

• Adversarial Testing & Bias Tracing:
  Every idea is exposed to structured critique—peer, SI, and open community challenge. Provenance records, quantum-traced audit trails, and bias detection infrastructure ensure that no “truth” escapes scrutiny or bias-mapping, not even foundational assumptions.

• Continuous, Quantum-Tracked Audit:
  All knowledge is community-rated and algorithmically scored for confidence, bias, and consensus. Every document, upgrade, and historical argument is version-locked and transparently accessible for re-examination and improvement by future intelligences.

What Makes ES Unique?

• Universal Challenge Protocol:
  ES is not “skepticism for skepticism’s sake.” It is formalized into open, reproducible procedures: from how papers are reviewed, to how codes of evidence are set, to real-time challenge interfaces open to both expert and algorithmic dissent.

• Beyond Human Limits:
  By integrating SI peer-review and adversarial learning, ES ensures that knowledge frameworks cannot entrench uniquely human cognitive blind spots or social biases. Both BI and SI co-author, audit, and upgrade.

• Metric-Driven Doubt:
  Doubt is operationalized: every claim’s “status” is attached to challenge-metrics (depth of scrutiny, number/type of reviewers, history of acknowledged bias and revision). The result is a living, adaptive ledger of what we “know,” how strongly, and with what contested history.
